    Job Title: Automation Technician

    Job Description

    As an Automation Technician, you will leverage your skills to support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems. You will have the opportunity to install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment.

    Responsibilities

    + Install, inspect, repair, and maintain material handling equipment such as conveyors.

    + Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.

    + Perform battery changes and preventive maintenance on batteries.

    + Enter downtime data in daily logs and complete PM sheets.

    + Manage work orders within a CMMS.

    + Possess electrical knowledge of basic components.

    + Troubleshoot and identify problems with equipment.

    + Track and store departmental inventory, including spare parts.

    Essential Skills

    + 2+ years of experience conducting quality predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.

    + 2+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment or automated conveyor systems and controls.

    + 2+ years of blueprint and electrical schematic reading.

    + 2+ years of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles.

    + 2+ years of experience following and demonstrating safety standards.

    + 1+ year experience in troubleshooting and diagnostics of material handling equipment systems.

    + 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.

    + High school or equivalent diploma.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Able to troubleshoot basic input and output functions of building operations.

    + Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

    + Continuous improvement mindset.

    + Willingness to learn and grow within the role.

    + Experience with material handling equipment safety standards in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and safety standards.

    + Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field.

    + 2+ years of apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field.

    + 2+ years of experience working with PLC-based control systems.

    + Experience with robotic operation and maintenance.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bristol, Indiana.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $28.50 - $28.50/hr.
