    Job Title: Line Mechanic/Line Lead

    Job Description

    The Line Mechanic plays a crucial role in maintaining and repairing equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. This position requires proficiency in mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, troubleshooting, fabrication, and light machining skills.     Responsibilities

    + Use safety devices and protective equipment, implementing safe work practices and methods in the operation of all tools and equipment.

    + Maintain, install, and repair electrical/electromechanical and mechanical component systems for concrete masonry plant equipment.

    + Read blueprints and schematics.

    + Perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed.

    + Contribute to a team-oriented environment.

    + Operate motor vehicles and mobile equipment safely, including man lifts, forklifts, and skid steers.

    + Plan work effectively and maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

    + Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment to reduce downtime.

    + Correct and/or report hazardous conditions to employees or contractors.

    + Collaborate with maintenance and manufacturing personnel to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.

    + Quickly assess and address issues during equipment breakdowns, communicating with operators and applying troubleshooting skills.

    + Conduct building and grounds maintenance.

    + Ability to read blueprints and schematics

    + Thorough knowledge of electrical/electromechanical maintenance methods

    + Understanding of safety rules related to mechanical and electrical work

    + Proficiency in using hand tools and testing equipment

    + Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals

    + Basic computer skills

It requires operating heavy equipment and machinery and performing physical tasks such as walking, bending, lifting (minimum 90 pounds), and working at heights.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
