Job Description
As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on a variety of food production plant equipment. This includes case packers, processing machines, blenders, grinders, scales, conveyors, motors, gearboxes, and more. You will work across two maintenance departments, Canning and Packaging, and handle machinery such as casers, sifters, dumbers, and boilers. Your role involves testing voltages, wiring motors, using a multimeter, troubleshooting 480V systems, handling 3-phase equipment, reading schematics, and diagnosing motor control issues.
Responsibilities
+ Perform preventative maintenance on food production equipment.
+ Repair and troubleshoot case packers, processing machines, blenders, grinders, scales, conveyors, motors, and gearboxes.
+ Work within two maintenance departments: Canning and Packaging.
+ Operate and maintain machinery such as casers, sifters, dumbers, and boilers.
+ Test voltages and wire motors using a multimeter.
+ Troubleshoot 480V systems and manage 3-phase equipment.
+ Read and interpret schematics.
+ Diagnose and identify motor control, fuses, DC voltage issues.
Essential Skills
+ 1 year of industrial maintenance experience maintaining food production equipment.
+ Proficiency in troubleshooting, electrical, and welding tasks.
+ Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
+ Experience with hand tools, hydraulics, pneumatics, and fabrication.
+ Knowledge of preventive maintenance in food manufacturing.

Work Environment
The role operates on the 1st shift from 5:00am to 1:30pm, Monday to Friday, with potential overtime of 8-12 hours a day, and possibly working every other weekend. The work environment is a very large facility where you will be working in both freezer and hot areas. Required attire includes steel toes, hearing and eye protection, hair and beard nets, a hard hat, and a provided uniform.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $66560.00 - $75000.00/yr.
