Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

Since 1955, our company has been a trusted supplier of high-quality gears and gear-related products for original equipment manufacturers, Tier I, Tier II, and aftermarket manufacturers in the transportation industry. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled General Production Worker to join our team.

Responsibilities

+ Produce parts and perform quality inspection of finished parts.

+ Pack parts and prepare them for shipments.

+ Document production numbers as needed.

+ Follow general instructions to ensure smooth production processes.

+ Maintain a clean and neat workstation before and after shifts.

+ Assist others during slow times by seeking additional tasks.

+ Lift up to 40-50 lbs.

Essential Skills

+ Experience with hand tools, general labor, and general production.

+ Ability to handle materials and perform assembly, packaging, and packing.

+ Proficiency in machine operation and use of a tape measure.

+ Experience in loading, picking, and working on a production line.

+ Inventory management skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Must have at least 6 months of recent manufacturing experience.

+ Good attendance record from previous employment.

+ Punctuality and readiness to work.

+ Required to wear non-slip shoes and safety glasses.

Work Environment

Our facility is climate-controlled, providing a comfortable working environment. We have on-site tool vending machines for convenience. The dress code includes jeans, a t-shirt, non-slip shoes, and safety glasses. The role is on the 3rd shift from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Sunday through Thursday, with training directly on the third shift.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochester, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr.
