    Job Title: Warehouse Worker

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Worker responsible for shipping and receiving tasks, preparing panels for shipment, including building pallets, and ensuring all paperwork is accurately completed. The role requires measuring and cutting wood, occasionally operating a table saw, and using both hand and power tools. The Warehouse Worker will also utilize Microsoft Office and other Windows programs for shipping, pack and wrap large boxes, and lift heavy items. Certification will be provided for forklift operation.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform shipping and receiving duties, including preparing and building pallets for shipment.

    + Measure and cut wood as needed, with potential operation of a table saw.

    + Use hand and power tools for various tasks.

    + Utilize Microsoft Office and other Windows software for shipping processes.

    + Pack and wrap large boxes, ensuring the ability to lift heavy items.

    + Operate a forklift upon certification.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience with hand and power tools.

    + Minimum of 6 months forklift experience.

    + Ability to read a ruler.

    + Experience in shipping and receiving.

    + Skilled in wrapping skids and labeling products.

    + Competency in using computers.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Mechanical experience is preferred.

    + Experience in machine operation is advantageous.

    Work Environment

     

    This position is located at a clean and temperature-controlled manufacturing facility with a small team of 20 employees on the floor. The company operates on a single shift from 6 AM to 2:30 PM, with occasional overtime. Safety glasses and steel-toed shoes are required, but ear protection is not necessary due to the quiet environment.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Berkeley, Illinois.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
