Job Title: General Production Worker

1st/2nd/3rd shift

$17 to $17.75/hr

Job Description

The General Production Worker will oversee a production line dedicated to producing corrugated pipe, ensuring that each piece is produced to the correct length and free of quality issues such as inconsistencies in color, shape, size, and length. The role requires tying off the pipe to the correct length for shipment, performing basic preventative maintenance on equipment, and loading finished products onto forklifts for transportation or storage. Maintaining production standards and completing necessary paperwork, including reporting any nonconformances, are essential parts of the role.

Responsibilities

+ Oversee production line for corrugated pipe manufacturing

+ Ensure product quality in terms of color, shape, size, and length

+ Prepare pipe for shipment by tying off to correct length

+ Perform basic preventative maintenance on production equipment

+ Load finished products onto forklifts for transportation or storage

+ Maintain production standards and complete necessary paperwork

+ Report any nonconformances

Essential Skills

+ Attention to detail

+ Ability to perform general labor tasks

+ Experience in production and machine operation

+ Willingness to engage in monotonous tasks

+ Forklift operation skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ High School diploma or GED required

+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with team lifting for heavier items

+ Previous manufacturing experience preferred

+ Previous forklift operation experience preferred

+ Open to working overtime, including some Saturdays

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wooster, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.75 - $19.00/hr.
