    Job Description

    + Build various cables used in aircraft and ground control stations by determining and following methods and sequences of operations in performing assembly tasks such as wiring, component installation, hand soldering, and cable harnessing on assembly units. Comprehend assembly drawings or written work instructions, crimp terminals/contacts onto wires using manual and automated tooling, and label assemblies in accordance with drawing specifications.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform soldering-tinning wire, splices, and connections.

    + Execute a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly.

    + Utilize basic hand tools, cutters, wire strippers, hand crimpers, scissors, soldering iron, and heat gun.

    + Monitor and verify quality in accordance with control procedures.

    + Observe all laws, regulations, and obligations while conducting business.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience with cable assembly and cable harnessing.

    + Proficient in soldering, cable harnessing, assembly, and wire crimping.

    + Ability to read, follow, and understand blueprints, schematics, work instructions, and wire lists.

    + Skilled in crimping terminals/contacts onto wires using manual and automated tooling.

    + Familiarity with basic hand tools, cutters, wire strippers, hand crimpers, scissors, soldering iron, and heat gun.

    + Good visual perception and ability to distinguish between colors.

    + High school diploma or equivalent.

    + Three or more years of experience in cable assembly.

    + Certification IPC/WHMA-A620 is a plus.

    + Understanding of 5S and Lean Principles is a plus.

    + Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

    + Customer-focused with limited technical comprehension.

    + Knowledge of computer operations and applications pertinent to the position.

    + Ability to work independently or in a team environment and extended hours as required.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $31.00/hr.
