Are you a seasoned facilities professional who thrives in a calm, clinical environment where precision and reliability matter? We’re looking for a **Facilities Engineer** to take the lead in maintaining a 35-bed rehabilitation hospital. In this role, you’ll be the primary service provider, ensuring that every system—from HVAC to lighting—runs smoothly and safely for patients and staff alike.

• What You’ll Do

+ Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, chillers, boilers, and air handlers.

+ Handle plumbing tasks such as replacing sinks, toilets, faucets, and water lines.

+ Conduct electrical maintenance and installations, including lighting, outlets, and security systems.

+ Take on painting and carpentry projects: drywall repairs, ceiling/floor tile replacement, and furniture assembly.

+ Collaborate with and report directly to the facility maintenance manager.

• What You Bring

+ Expertise in plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC maintenance.

+ Minimum 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance.

+ Proficiency in troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.

+ Experience with PLCs for HVAC systems, especially Trane and Tracer web-based software.

+ Knowledge of building automation and HVAC control systems.

• Bonus Skills & Qualifications

+ HVAC or facilities technology certification/license.

+ Professional demeanor and strong customer service mindset.

+ Prior experience in a hospital, nursing home, or similar healthcare setting.

+ Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and work independently.

+ Experience responding to maintenance tickets from medical staff and patients.

• Work Environment

You’ll be working in a **quiet, hospital-like facility** that’s 100% climate-controlled and capped at 35 beds. The environment is calm, professional, and centrally located in West County, STL—easily accessible via major highways. You’ll be the go-to expert for all things facilities-related, with support from a responsive management team.

• Compensation & Schedule

+ **Pay:** \$30–\$36/hour, depending on experience

+ **Shift:** Tuesday–Saturday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

+ **On-Call:** 24/7 availability required due to the medical nature of the facility

+ **Overtime:** Eligible based on facility needs

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
