Job Description
As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment. You will be responsible for identifying the root causes of machine breakdowns, dismantling defective machines, and installing repaired or new parts. Additionally, you will perform routine maintenance and mechanical and electrical troubleshooting on machines and equipment, as well as basic facility maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of the facility and building. You will also operate PIT equipment and run production equipment as needed.
Responsibilities
+ Identify root causes of machine breakdowns.
+ Dismantle defective machines and equipment.
+ Install new and/or repaired parts.
+ Perform routine maintenance on machines.
+ Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting on machines and equipment.
+ Perform basic facility maintenance tasks to upkeep facility and building.
+ Operate PIT equipment.
+ Run production equipment as needed.

+ 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
+ Welding/fabrication experience preferred.

Work Environment
You will be working in a non-climate-controlled facility equipped with large and smaller fans to ensure continuous air movement. The facility has a machine shop type of environment with an older, dirtier floor that is kept neat and uncluttered. The shop is smaller, with 5-6 people on each shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, North Carolina.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
