Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as an Electrical Maintenance Technician in a leading metal manufacturing company serving the automotive, government, and military industries. This higher-level electrical position involves significant electrical troubleshooting, working with PLCs, and managing controls in a state-of-the-art facility.

Responsibilities

+ Perform routine and preventative maintenance on all plant equipment, including presses, CNC machines, furnaces, conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and forklifts.

+ Troubleshoot and diagnose real-time issues with plant equipment.

+ Engage with automated equipment to ensure efficient operations.

+ Identify opportunities to rebuild and upgrade plant equipment.

+ Work from blueprints and electrical schematics.

+ Utilize a laptop to access PLCs for monitoring, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.

Essential Skills

+ 5 years of industrial maintenance experience.

+ Proficient in maintenance, automation, and electrical troubleshooting.

+ Experience with PLC troubleshooting, pneumatics, hydraulics, and CNC machines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 2+ years experience as a Maintenance Mechanic, including fixing, repairing, and preventative maintenance on plant equipment.

+ Technical school training is beneficial.

Work Environment

Work in a very large facility with approximately 700 employees, covering 400,000 sq.ft. The environment is loud and may be dirty, with work mostly in the plant (75-100%). Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 6:30 am to 2:30 pm, with every third weekend required. Benefits include free vending machines for beverages, uniform cleaning, and attendance incentives.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48000.00 - $60000.00/yr.

A lot of available OT

Tech school training

Provide tools and tool box and uniform cleaning

$1 shift premium for 2nd and 3rd

As much OT as you want - up to 60 hours. Need to get it approved by their Supervisor the week before.

1.5 after 40 hours and double time after 48

Attendance program: $50 a month for perfect att, if you get all 12 months, another $500. Also get another 2 hours of vacation if they have a perfect

Annual reviews: Roughly 3-5%

Reviews: 30, 60, 90 and then when they're hired (Roughly 3% raise)

Step program: Get paid for learning new departments (outside of CNC), could be anywhere from .25 to a dollar. 6 steps through the progressions. Anywhere from 6 months to a couple of years doing trainings and classes.
