Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for a position in Adrian, MI. The role involves ensuring smooth operations within an automotive plant by performing maintenance tasks and troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic systems, including PLCs. This position offers the potential for an extended term beyond the initial 13 weeks.
Responsibilities
+ Promote a safe working environment and participate in safety improvements.
+ Support assigned zone to meet target metrics.
+ Troubleshoot and repair plant electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic (PLC) issues.
+ Perform all levels of preventative maintenance and maintain maintenance log books.
+ Participate in assembly equipment tool changes.
+ Support special projects such as machinery moves, launches, and continuous improvement.
+ Document work performed in clear and concise form.
+ Participate in TPM events and apply concepts in daily activities.
+ Complete assigned work orders.
+ Perform basic Fanuc/ABB robot tasks, including touch-up points, re-mastering, servicing, PMs, and changing out motors/cables.
+ Coach and mentor new skilled trades team members.
+ Proficient in weld adjustments, weld quality basics, helium leak test troubleshooting, hydraulics and schematics, carriage and swivel troubleshooting, safety relays and light curtains, drive troubleshooting, basic BMM controls and function, grinder safety controls, and PM/CM of central services.
+ Connect and troubleshoot Siemens S7 as needed.
+ Understand and apply LOTO concepts and methods, including risk analysis.
+ Train and coach other technicians on LOTO and safe work practices.
+ Advise when standard work instructions do not cover necessary specific activities.
+ Check correct application of LOTO in line with procedures.
+ Seek guidance from the LOTO steering committee for any concerns regarding LOTO.
+ Stop production when a quality or safety issue arises.
+ Perform physical tasks such as walking, climbing, bending, stooping, crouching, pushing, balancing, reaching, kneeling, and standing.
+ Lift up to 33 lbs regularly and work under varying temperature conditions.
Essential Skills
+ At least 5 years of Maintenance Technician experience.
+ Experience in preventative maintenance and troubleshooting/repairing plant electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electronic PLC issues.
+ Electrical experience with 480v, 3-phase motors, and PLCs.
+ Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical troubleshooting.

Work Environment
The work environment is an automotive plant that supplies gas fuel tanks to major automotive companies. It is loud and not temperature-controlled, requiring adaptability to varying conditions. The role involves working during the second shift from 3 pm to 11 pm.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.63 - $33.45/hr.
