Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Description

We are seeking skilled Equipment Operators to join our team and perform work for pipe and grade crews. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating a variety of machinery including excavators and dozers to execute tasks efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

+ Operate excavators and dozers proficiently.

+ Dig trenches for pipe installation using excavators.

+ Perform rough and fine grading using loaders, excavators, and dozers.

Essential Skills

+ Expertise in heavy equipment operation.

+ Proficient in excavation and grading.

+ Experience in civil site and construction projects.

+ Ability to operate bulldozers, excavators, and dozers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Minimum of 2 years experience operating heavy Caterpillar equipment.

+ Proven experience in pipe installation and storm water lines.

+ Proficiency in rough grading.

+ Experience in commercial construction.

Work Environment

Expect to work 40-60 hour weeks, depending on weather conditions. Working hours are Monday to Friday, from 7 am to 5 or 6 pm. Projects are located around Richmond, VA, including Chesterfield, VA.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Toano, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
