Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Utilize specialized skill sets to support the maintenance and optimal operating condition of a variety of equipment using approved food safety practices and policies. This role aims to decrease equipment downtime by utilizing training and skills.

Responsibilities

+ Perform corrective and emergency maintenance on food packaging/processing equipment and facility equipment to maximize equipment up-time.

+ Complete assigned scheduled preventative maintenance and work orders to increase asset life.

+ Document daily activities and work performed, including equipment repairs from breakdowns, work orders, or scheduled preventative maintenance.

+ Troubleshoot and resolve advanced mechanical/electrical equipment issues using specialized skill sets.

+ Repair and/or rebuild pumps, mills, gearboxes, and other mechanical entities.

+ Assist and train other maintenance mechanics in troubleshooting advanced equipment problems, providing up-to-date information to enhance departmental skills.

+ Promote and adhere to Food Safety and Quality standards.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.

+ Experience in mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills and/or specialized training.

+ Experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred.

+ Strong oral and written communication skills.

+ Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

+ Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations.

+ Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

+ Bi-Lingual skills preferred but not required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Saginaw, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $83200.00/yr.
