Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Join a dynamic food manufacturing company as a Maintenance Technician, where you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs on bakery equipment. You will work with ovens, mixers, conveyors, pneumatic delivery systems, and extrusion machines, ensuring optimal performance and minimal breakdowns.

Responsibilities

+ Conduct preventive maintenance (PM) on bakery equipment to ensure smooth operations.

+ Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues, including adjusting sensors on machines.

+ Perform fabrication work, welding stainless steel materials to create machine covers and product catches.

+ Diagnose and resolve issues on production lines, minimizing reactive breakdowns.

+ Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective maintenance practices.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting.

+ Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.

+ Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.

+ Skilled in welding and industrial maintenance.

+ Knowledge of 3-phase 480v electrical systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Previous experience in bakery or food manufacturing.

+ Own a basic set of tools (small toolbox).

+ Several years of industrial maintenance experience.

Work Environment

The work environment is a clean food manufacturing facility operating on a 24/7 schedule. The position requires working third shift hours from 11 PM to 7:30 AM, five days a week, with potential for overtime. The schedule is based on bidding, and employees are expected to work approximately 48 to 52 hours per week.

This is a Permanent position based out of La Porte, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $42556.00 - $47840.00/yr.

Alpha Baking pays medical, dental vision, 401k. They are able to get benefits at 90 days. It is BSBS. Vacation is accrued over time.

Workplace Type

This is a fully onsite position in La Porte,IN.
