Job Title: Lead Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Lead Maintenance Technician with a strong background in plating, coating, or powder coating industries. This role involves training to replace the current lead maintenance technician who will be retiring soon. The ideal candidate should possess extensive electrical knowledge and the ability to perform rewiring tasks when necessary, especially on older machines that lack diagrams for troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
+ Perform electrical troubleshooting, focusing on sensors, relays, motors, and 480V, 3-phase and single-phase motors.
+ Utilize a volt meter to diagnose electrical problems efficiently.
+ Conduct mechanical troubleshooting with hydraulics and pneumatics.
+ Engage in welding and fabrication tasks.
+ Demonstrate expertise in panel wiring and troubleshooting.
+ Identify and solve problems with older machinery lacking diagrams.
Essential Skills
+ Electrical maintenance expertise, particularly with coating machines.
+ Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting.
+ Experience as a maintenance electrician.
+ Ability to read blueprints and schematics for electrical troubleshooting.
+ Strong mechanical and industrial maintenance skills.
+ Demonstrated experience in machine repair and wiring tasks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Welder / Fabricator experience.
+ Facilities maintenance, including some building maintenance tasks.
+ Plumbing skills.
+ Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in a plating, coating, or powder coating facility.

Work Environment
The work environment is in a plating facility which may not be the cleanest, but it offers good air circulation throughout the plant. The position requires wearing work boots and bringing your own tools, with secure storage available. This is a 1st shift opening from 7am to 4:30pm, working 45-50 hours a week. Occasionally, maintenance technicians may be called for issues during off shifts, but all regular work is conducted during 1st shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Warren, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $34.00/hr.
