Job Title: Facility Equipment Mechanic

Job Description

The Mechanic II will independently perform maintenance and preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems. This role involves conducting rounds to ensure system stability, reporting and repairing issues, and participating in watch-stand responsibilities on a rotating shift basis.

Responsibilities

+ Conduct rounds as per department schedule to assess and document the performance and condition of plant equipment, including pumps, motors, equipment pressure levels, fuel levels, and temperature.

+ Acquire detailed knowledge of mechanical systems locations and their components.

+ Maintain the integrity of Life Safety systems by securing, disabling/enabling devices, testing, and responding to emergencies according to department and center protocols.

+ Ensure the HVAC system is operational to provide a comfortable and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Work Environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $38.00/hr.
