    Maintenance Technician

     

    Currently hiring Maintenance Technician's in the Portage, IN area. Hiring immediately.

    Description

    + Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on packaging equipment, specifically liquid packaging machines.

    + Conduct electrical troubleshooting and wiring of motors up to 480V.

    + Troubleshoot and repair Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).

    + Diagnose and repair issues with PLCs, including inputs and outputs.

    + Utilize Human Machine Interface (HMI) programs for troubleshooting.

    + Handle mechanical troubleshooting, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

    + Replace, troubleshoot, and repair photo eyes.

    + Perform MIG and TIG welding and fabrication tasks.

    + Use MRP systems for maintenance activities.

    Essential Skills

    + A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.

    + Experience in liquid packaging.

    + Proficiency in electrical wiring and troubleshooting.

    + Knowledge of 480V electrical systems.

    + Experience with PLC troubleshooting.

    + Skills in preventative maintenance, wiring, welding, and working with VFDs, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience working with operators.

    + Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

    + Bi-lingual skills.

    + Experience in welding and wiring.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a clean, temperature-controlled manufacturing facility spanning 200,000 sq. ft. The environment includes packaging machines, conveyors, and food processing machines. There are two openings available on the second shift (3 PM - 11 PM) with a preference for candidates with experience in liquids.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $72800.00/yr.
