    Job Description: Commissioning Engineer

     

    Overview: We are seeking a Commissioning Engineer to join our team and play a key role in supporting capital projects and implementing high-impact solutions for

     

    our clients. You will work both independently and collaboratively to coordinate schedules, troubleshoot issues, and ensure seamless integration of commissioning activities.

    Responsibilities:

    + Coordinate operations technicians' work schedules and manpower forecasts.

    + Manage and track commissioning constraints and deficiencies impacting Basebuild utility systems post-installation.

    + Integrate construction and design schedules with commissioning activities.

    + Provide reports and updates related to schedule and quality metrics.

    + Conduct engineering job walk assessments for system and facility reviews.

    + Troubleshoot issues and complete root cause failure analyses on assigned projects.

    + Train suppliers and manage access to owner’s commissioning software systems.

    + Collaborate with engineering design teams and client representatives to streamline processes.

    Qualifications:

    + 2+ years of experience in commissioning or construction for I&C or Electrical Basebuild systems in the Advanced Technology sector .

    + Hands-on experience with Rockwell Automation, PLC5, & Control Logix hardware/software .

    + Proven success managing multi-discipline large capital projects involving Owners, General Contractors, Contractors, and System Integrators.

    + Strong understanding of Design/Build engineering and construction principles.

    + Familiarity with process systems architecture, instrumentation, device selection, networking, PLC & I/O architectures, P&IDs, data sheets, and SCADA .

    + Working knowledge of Dry/Wet Mechanical systems, AWN, Gas/Chem Distribution, HVAC, and Clean Room environmental control .

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including report writing and group presentations .

    + Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering (preferred).

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $36.00/hr.
