Tooling Technician (Expert Level) – 2nd & 3rd Shifts

Compensation:

+ Starting at **$33.00 per hour**

+ Up to **$38.80 per hour** (commensurate with experience)

Shift Details:

+ **2nd Shift:** 2:30 pm – 10:30 pm

+ **3rd Shift:** 10:30 pm – 6:30 am

Job Overview:

We are seeking an expert-level Tooling Technician with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a die casting or machining environment. In this role, you will work directly with mold and die sets, ensuring these critical tools operate at peak efficiency. You will handle motors, pneumatics, hydraulic equipment, and various production systems. Read and interpret diagrams, sketches, and operation manuals while using precision measuring devices and testing instruments to maintain quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

+ **Mold and Die Set Maintenance:**

+ Manage and repair mold and die sets, ensuring optimal operation and longevity of tooling equipment.

+ **Technical Troubleshooting:**

+ Diagnose and resolve issues related to motors, pneumatic systems, and hydraulic equipment. Utilize your in-depth troubleshooting skills for efficient maintenance and minimal downtime.

+ **Technical Documentation:**

+ Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, sketches, and operation manuals to guide repair and maintenance tasks accurately.

+ **Precision Measurement and Testing:**

+ Use precision measuring devices and testing instruments to conduct quality checks and ensure the integrity of tooling systems.

+ **Collaboration:**

+ Work closely with other maintenance and production teams to facilitate seamless operations in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

+ **Experience:**

+ At least 4 years of relevant experience in a die casting or machining maintenance environment.

+ **Technical Expertise:**

+ Strong proficiency in mold tooling, troubleshooting, die setting, and repair. Experience in both mold repair and routine maintenance is crucial.

+ **Reading and Interpretation Skills:**

+ Ability to interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, sketches, and operation manuals accurately.

+ **Mechanical Aptitude:**

+ Hands-on experience with motors, pneumatics, hydraulic equipment, and production machinery.

+ **Toolroom Proficiency:**

+ Familiarity with working in a toolroom environment, using hand tools, and handling precise measuring instruments.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $68640.00 - $79040.00/yr.
