Job Description
Join our team as a Maintenance Mechanic and be an integral part of ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. You will perform routine preventive maintenance and use a variety of tools, from common hand and power tools to precision measuring instruments, to ensure machinery and building systems operate efficiently.
Responsibilities
+ Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure machines run smoothly, and building systems operate efficiently.
+ Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools to precision measuring instruments and electrical testing devices.
+ Inspect, operate, or test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
+ Diagnose mechanical problems and determine corrections using blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs.
+ Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
+ Operate forklifts and Mobile Elevating Work Platforms such as scissor lifts or boom lifts.
+ Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform maintenance actions following checklists.
+ Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery.
+ Adjust functional parts of devices or control instruments using hand tools.
+ Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand and power tools.
+ Maintain and install all electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
+ Document and communicate actions, irregularities, and needs among work teams.
+ Interpret blueprints, specifications, or diagrams for installation, development, or operation activities.
+ Determine dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts using measuring instruments.
+ Execute preventative maintenance on motors, gearboxes, conveyor systems, pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
+ Log work orders, check out parts and review data through CMMS system (MVP Plant).
Essential Skills
+ Repairing machines or systems using necessary tools.
+ Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when maintenance is needed.
+ Troubleshooting and determining causes of operating errors.
+ Selecting tools and equipment needed for jobs.
+ Monitoring performance of oneself and others for improvements.
+ Conducting tests and inspections to evaluate quality or performance.
+ Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
+ Understanding principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
+ Knowledge of relevant equipment and procedures for effective security operations.
+ Ability to follow OSHA Safety and Company Programs, including Lock Out/Tag Out and Electrical Safety Program.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Basic understanding of electrical systems and CNC equipment.
+ Basic computer skills.
+ Team player willing to work with minimal supervision.
Work Environment
Work in a dynamic environment equipped with various tools and machinery. Night shifts are required, and you will operate forklifts and Mobile Elevating Work Platforms. Safety protocols and company programs must be followed diligently.

This is a Permanent position based out of Blacksburg, Virginia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $64480.00/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in Blacksburg,VA.
