Job Title: Fitter

Job Description

Engage in structural fitting on large boiler framework components, ensuring precise layout and fitting of parts according to blueprints. Assist with pre-fabrication work as needed, including drilling holes, cutting parts, and utilizing overhead cranes.

Responsibilities

+ Perform structural fitting on large boiler framework components.

+ Layout and fit parts according to detailed blueprints.

+ Assist with pre-fabrication tasks, including drilling holes and cutting parts.

+ Utilize overhead cranes for material handling.

+ Conduct MIG welding on aluminum components.

Essential Skills

+ 2+ years of experience as a fitter/fabricator.

+ Proficiency in layout and fitting of metals.

+ Knowledge of blueprints and weld symbols.

+ Experience in MIG welding, specifically on aluminum.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Previous experience in a structural welding environment.

+ Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.

Work Environment

Work in a fabrication facility in Vancouver, focusing on the production of large industrial boilers and kilns. The role involves fabricating components that are installed nationwide at large industrial plants.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vancouver, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $33.00/hr.
