Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Field Project Representative/Construction Observer for a multi-year lead service line replacement project at a water treatment plant. The projects will be located in Milwaukee and Racine, focusing on construction inspection for 'outside fence' projects.

Responsibilities

+ Perform observation of construction personnel working on assigned areas of the construction site.

+ Ensure construction work put in place matches construction plans.

+ Identify deficiencies in constructed structures.

+ Review contract terms and conditions.

+ Ensure construction timelines, costs, and materials comply with contract terms and conditions.

+ Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff.

+ Review the work of junior staff.

+ Document deficiencies, expected cost overruns, materials issues, and any other related construction issues or risks related to their area of oversight.

+ Prepare related reports, such as monthly progress reports.

+ Maintain daily reports of construction activities.

+ Communicate construction issues to project leadership.

+ Escalate issues to appropriate design staff for resolution.

+ Communicate issue resolutions to construction staff and close the loop with project leadership when documented issues are resolved.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction observation, construction inspection, or construction management.

+ Experience in water treatment or wastewater plant projects is preferred.

+ Bachelors degree in related field is preferred but not required.

+ Ability to read construction plans.

+ Proficiency in MS Office.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $45.00/hr.
