Job Title: Fiber Field Technician - Entry Level
Job Description
The Fiber Field Technician will be responsible for traveling throughout Kentucky to various sites to inspect, photograph, and document aerial installations.
Responsibilities
+ Enforce safety standards and quality control at all sites.
+ Ensure all work performed adheres to engineering design drawings and specifications.
+ Monitor construction standards and ensure proper adherence by contractors.
+ Establish and maintain professional relationships with engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and the general public.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in photography for documenting installations.
+ Experience in telecommunications and telecommunication towers.
+ Expertise in inspection and site evaluations.
+ Familiarity with utility pole photography and construction site inspections.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Willingness to travel extensively.
+ Experience in telecom, fiber engineering, or construction.
+ Preferred experience in aerial inspection or installation.
+ Physical ability to carry 50 lbs.
Work Environment
The role involves working outdoors in various elements, which may include navigating through thick brush or snow. Expect hot conditions in the summer and cold conditions in the winter. The position offers paid vacation and holiday benefits during the initial period, with additional company-paid benefits upon permanent employment.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr.
