Autonomous Vehicle Hardware Technician!
Job Description
We are seeking highly skilled hardware technicians who are detail-oriented and experts at problem-solving and assembling both simple and complex hardware systems in a manufacturing production environment. Candidates should have a deep passion for trucks, cars, and future technologies.
Responsibilities
+ Work as a Hardware Technician on the Manufacturing Team to build self-driving vehicles.
+ Engage in vehicle build, sub-assembly, integrated modules, and harness assembly.
+ Follow manufacturing documentation standards.
+ Operate within the Manufacturing Quality Management System (QMS).
+ Adhere to safety standards and meet internal deadlines.
+ Work with limited oversight and seek continuing education and development opportunities.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with hardware assembly and electromechanical systems.
+ 0-2 years of experience for entry-level technicians or 2 to 7 years of direct experience in automotive, trucking, development, or production spaces.
+ Technical trade school education or equivalent.
+ Knowledge of ISO-9001 or standardized process environments.
+ Experience with Jira, ERP, PLM, CAD, and various software tools.
+ Excellent communication skills and documentation practices.
+ Deep knowledge of automotive and trucking systems, tooling, and mechanical assemblies.
+ Strong electrical skills with the ability to read wiring schematics and layouts and assemble wiring harnesses.
+ Basic proficiency with Windows and Mac operating systems.
+ Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
+ Problem-solving skills, and the ability to analyze and isolate problems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ A can-do customer service attitude with multitasking abilities under pressure.
+ Ability to use hands to control or feel objects and to grasp, move, and assemble objects.
+ Physical ability to stand, walk, climb, carry materials, and kneel for extended periods.
+ Capability to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, and stairs up to 20-25 feet.
+ Ability to lift a maximum of 50 pounds unassisted.
+ Experience with moving parts and tooling such as impact tools, drills, and cutting equipment.
+ Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) daily.
+ IPC training and certification or equivalent experience.
+ Knowledge of IPC J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC-7711/7721.
+ Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing certification (GD&T).
+ Production workshop experience.
+ Automotive and trucking mechanical experience and/or qualifications.
Work Environment
This is a 100% on-site position where lunch is provided. The role involves working with various technologies and equipment in a dynamic production environment.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
