We are seeking a Principal Engineer Embedded Software - Product Owner who possesses a strong desire to learn new technologies and join our innovative teams. The successful candidate will help develop, enhance, and maintain software on cutting-edge products and systems. This position requires you to work 100% on-site.
Responsibilities
+ Lead Integrated Product Teams (IPT) for Embedded Software.
+ Serve as a Control Account Manager (CAM).
+ Develop and execute test procedures.
+ Integrate hardware and software.
+ Design and document programmable logic tests and evaluations.
+ Act as a technical lead and software architect.
+ Utilize aircraft simulation and SSC Subject Matter Expertise with Vitis.
+ Focus 75% on breaking down work and tasking it out to engineers.
+ Perform hands-on embedded work as necessary, comprising 25% of responsibilities.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in embedded software, C++, software development, and C programming.
+ Strong object-oriented programming skills.
+ Experience with RTOS, technical leadership, and software architecture.
+ Experience in programmable logic, test and evaluation, design, and documentation.
+ Experience with Embedded C & C++.
+ Experience with VxWorks and flight software.
+ Weapon System experience and full life cycle development.
+ Experience with firmware, ARM, Jira, Bitbucket, Git, and Agile methodologies.
+ Familiarity with communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, and Ethernet.
+ Experience with Linux and VxWorks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM discipline with 5 years of experience, or a Master's with 3 years, or a PhD with 1 year.
+ Experience integrating low-level firmware and software in complex real-time multi-threaded embedded applications.
+ Experience with ARM architectures and peripherals.
+ Experience using Jira, Bitbucket, and Git within the Agile software development process.
+ Must currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense Secret level security clearance.
+ Experience with communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, PCIe, and Ethernet.
+ Experience with networking protocols including IPSec and TLS.
+ Experience with TCP/IP and common network configurations.
+ Experience implementing cryptographic mechanisms using dedicated software libraries like wolfSSL.
+ Familiarity with Linux kernel driver development and modifications.
+ Familiarity with assembly language and bare-metal embedded device drivers.
+ Familiarity with PowerPC architectures and peripherals, VHDL/Verilog/FPGA, and Xilinx tools like Vitis and Vivado.
+ Familiarity with IBM tools such as Rhapsody, DOORS, and ClearCase.
+ Familiarity with Green Hills tools like AdaMulti.
+ Familiarity with static analysis and unit testing.
+ Current or active Secret clearance is preferred.
Work Environment
This role requires working 100% on-site in a dynamic and collaborative environment. The work involves using cutting-edge technologies and tools. The position may involve working with classified information and requires maintaining a U.S. Department of Defense Secret level security clearance.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $74.00/hr.
