Senior Water/Wastewater Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Civil Engineer to lead and manage water and wastewater infrastructure projects from concept through construction. This role requires oversight of project schedules, budgets, and deliverables, providing leadership as both a project engineer and project manager depending on project needs.

Responsibilities

+ Manage water/wastewater infrastructure projects from initial concept through to construction.

+ Oversee project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful project completion.

+ Serve as both project engineer and project manager, adapting to project needs.

+ Supervise and mentor junior engineers and project engineers, fostering their technical growth.

+ Coordinate directly with clients, subconsultants, and team members to ensure project alignment.

+ Prepare design documents and construction drawings in accordance with project standards.

+ Contribute to QA/QC processes and ensure compliance with project standards.

Essential Skills

+ Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.

+ California PE license.

+ 5-15 years of experience in water/wastewater engineering.

+ Proficiency in AutoCAD.

+ Strong project management skills.

+ Ability to work in a lean, flat-structure organization.

+ Experience with pipeline hydraulics and mechanical piping layouts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with ArcGIS or hydraulic modeling software.

+ Background in municipal infrastructure or prior work at a large civil firm.

+ Familiarity with permitting processes and technical documentation.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $115000.00 - $150000.00/hr.
