We are seeking a highly skilled Project Architect to support our retail team. This position will involve working under the general supervision of a Project Manager, providing essential support in design development, construction documents, and construction administration.
Responsibilities
+ Assist in the design development phase of projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and design principles.
+ Prepare and produce comprehensive construction documents for retail projects.
+ Participate in construction administration to ensure projects are completed according to specifications.
+ Focus on Core & Shell/Building envelope design, with an emphasis on exterior detailing.
+ Coordinate with vendors and manage tenant improvement processes.
+ Engage in entitlement and site planning activities.
Essential Skills
+ Graduate of Architecture or design school.
+ Minimum of 8 years of experience in commercial interior architecture, particularly in retail.
+ Proficiency in Revit, with consistent use in the past year.
+ Experience in Core & Shell/Building envelope design.
+ Ability to support projects from concept to completion, including construction administration.
+ Experience with storefront and exterior detailing.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Working knowledge of design principles and aesthetics.
+ Familiarity with space planning methodology, furnishings, and finishes.
+ Intermediate sketching and rendering skills.
+ Intermediate skills in interior architecture detailing.
+ Knowledge of building systems, codes, and ADA requirements.
+ Familiarity with contract administration and path of travel requirements.
Work Environment
This position offers a fully remote work environment, with the option to work hybrid or in-person at our studios. Typical work hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, though we offer flexible work times to accommodate your needs. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.00/hr.
