    Job Title: Lead Field EngineerJob Description

     

    This position is located in Boyton, VA, supporting a Microsoft Data Center project. As a Lead Field Engineer, you will play a vital role in the field commissioning of building automation systems tailored for individual customers. We seek a self-motivated, detail-oriented, customer-focused professional who can act as a role model for other field engineers. You will address complex problems, lead training for less experienced engineers, and serve as a contact in the field as a product and technical expert.

    Responsibilities

    + Initiate, install, troubleshoot, and optimize customer systems utilizing advanced Direct Digital Control technology.

    + Serve as the local contact for technical issues.

    + Offer effective solutions for complex system issues.

    + Provide turnkey project delivery on medium to large projects.

    + Ensure systems operate properly, including controls, sensors, and software.

    + Load software, configure trends, alarms, and reports.

    + Implement time management strategies to ensure customer satisfaction.

    + Communicate and document the status and details of the project for the customer.

    + Provide site-specific training to owners/operators on the complete system.

    Essential Skills

    + High School Diploma or GED.

    + 4+ years of experience in Building Automation, HVAC, or related field.

    + Ability to climb ladders or use lift equipment over 8 feet above grade.

    + Capability to lift items up to 50lbs.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree, Associate Degree, or Technical/Business School Certificate or Diploma in HVAC, Controls, or related field.

    + Proficient with advanced building automation software, such as WebCTRL.

    + Expertise with TCP/IP networks including wireless technology.

    + Experience with multiple disciplines and diverse challenges.

    + Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.

    + Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.

    + Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications.

    Work Environment

    This role supports the Microsoft Data Project Center in Boyton, VA. Candidates must be capable of climbing ladders to reach the BAU and lifting items up to 50lbs. There are no on-call shifts in the install group. Typical working hours are from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $44.00/hr.
