Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant with exceptional communication and customer service skills to join our dynamic team. The role includes clinical and administrative duties within a fast-paced primary care environment, offering significant growth opportunities.
Responsibilities
+ Provide high-quality patient care by assisting physicians during examinations and procedures.
+ Perform triage duties, including obtaining vital signs and patient histories.
+ Manage electronic health records (EHR) with proficiency, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
+ Conduct administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and billing.
+ Support the back office with inventory management and ordering of medical supplies.
+ Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety protocols.
+ Educate patients about their care and follow-up instructions.
Essential Skills
+ Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Phlebotomy Certification Required.
+ Passion for patient care and eagerness to learn.
+ Experience in a fast-paced setting.
+ Proficiency with Epic EHR systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Previous experience in a primary care or clinical setting is preferred.
+ Strong proficiency with computers and clinical administrative procedures.
+ Phlebotomy experience is desired but not mandatory.
+ Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to providing outstanding patient care.
+ Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Work Environment
This position is based in a family medicine practice that caters to patients from newborns to the elderly. The practice sees up to 200 patients on busy days and is supported by 15 providers. The work schedule is Monday to Thursday, from 9:30 am to 8 pm, operating on a four-day, ten-hour shift (4 10s).
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $22.00/hr.
