    Job Title: Technical Information Specialist

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Technical Information Specialist to oversee the management of technical information for products produced for the defense market. This role involves working closely with engineering teams to update documents, collaborating with the offering team to create specialized literature, and ensuring accurate and timely information is provided to military and government clients. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in engineering, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and experience with Adobe software.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct inspections and analytical tests, analyze and synthesize data, maintain control charts, determine root causes, and prepare bid specifications.

    + Collect and analyze information, research, adapt, and modify engineering techniques to resolve engineering problems.

    + Recommend solutions and prepare drawings, schematics, and diagrams.

    + Prepare cost-benefit analyses, track and report expenses to meet cost standards.

    + Complete quality assurance tests, follow standards, study, evaluate, and redesign processes to maintain and improve quality results.

    + Collect and enter data, generate reports and presentations, and summarize data and trends.

    + Develop and review technical publications and manuals for defense products.

    + Review bill-of-material and technical data for submission to government organizations and systems.

    + Provide daily support to the Manager of Information & Technology Services.

    + Oversee the creation, development, and maintenance of military program technical manuals.

    + Manage print redaction, media translation requests, product manual compilation, media storage, documentation, and transmission.

    + Provide part information to military personnel and ensure accurate data entry.

    Essential Skills

    + Strong communication skills, including spelling and grammar.

    + Proficiency in computer software, such as Office365, Adobe/Nitro.

    + Ability to communicate technical information and teach others.

    + Associates degree minimum unless the candidate has significant relevant experience.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with publications development.

    + Experience with engineering/product support systems (Teamcenter, EDS, SIS).

    + Mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.

    + Strong ability to work independently and manage one’s time.

    + Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability.

    + Team player and detail-oriented.

    + Basic ability to make sketches, engineering drawings, and common computations.

    + Proposal writing and technical support experience.

     

    Work Environment

     

    The position is based in an office environment located in downtown AB building.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
