Lab Technician
Job Description
As a Lab Technician, you will be responsible for performing in-process, finished, and stability testing of products. You will inspect and test incoming raw materials, communicate with Production regarding batch making and required adjustments, and monitor and maintain inventory of laboratory supplies. Additionally, you will make calculations, analyze data, prepare summarized results, assist in product development activities and method development/validation, maintain laboratory equipment and general cleanliness, and assist Quality Assurance in document control activities, issuance of batch production sheets, and inspection of production areas.
Responsibilities
+ Perform wet chemistry tests and analyze samples using Flame AA.
+ Test in-process samples for required attributes and communicate adjustments to Production.
+ Complete retain sample log and deposit samples accordingly.
+ Weigh small quantities of raw materials for production use.
+ Keep laboratory clean and organized.
+ Inspect, label, test, and release incoming raw materials.
+ Communicate effectively with others.
+ Read and understand Safety Data Sheets, methods, standard operating procedures, and batch sheets.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in laboratory procedures and chemistry.
+ Experience with wet chemistry and quality control.
+ Ability to perform calculations for laboratory work.
+ Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Associate's Degree in Chemistry or related science field.
+ Non-allergic to chemicals, specifically iodine.
+ Strong reasoning skills and quality-oriented work viewpoint.
+ Good organizational and time management skills.
Work Environment
The position is based in an industrial lab setting within a small team. The typical working hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $42500.00 - $42500.00/yr.
