Hiring Now! – Medical Lab Scientist I

Join a leading healthcare diagnostics and drug development company in our

Indianapolis-based central laboratory, specializing in testing and bioanalysis

services. We’re looking for a motivated Medical Lab Scientist I to

contribute to long-term projects as part of our Immunology Team.

Key Responsibilities

+ Assess specimen acceptability for testing per established criteria.

+ Perform routine and complex technical procedures following departmental SOPs.

+ Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot lab instrumentation.

+ Make technical decisions related to testing and problem-solving.

+ Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls.

+ Report timely and accurate test results to ensure quality patient care.

+ Conduct preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.

+ Maintain proper inventory of testing bench supplies.

+ Assist in specimen processing as needed.

+ Adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE.

Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or a related field.

+ At least 1+ years of clinical laboratory testing experience.

+ Hands-on experience with LC-MS or MS and pipetting 96-well plates.

+ Preferred: ASCP or AMT certification, validation experience, and familiarity with laboratory information systems.

+ Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities.

+ Must pass a standardized color vision screen.

+ Flexibility to accommodate overtime or other shifts as needed.

Work Environment

+ Location: Indianapolis facility is on the southwest side

+ Schedule: Monday-Friday, 1st shift (8 AM - 5 PM)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
