This position provides product regulatory support for businesses in North America and limited export regions, functioning as part of the global Health, Environmental, Regulatory Affairs (HERA) shared service. The primary focus is to manage compliance with applicable chemical and product regulations while providing direct regulatory support for fertilizer businesses.
Responsibilities
+ Serve as the Regional Regulatory Affairs contact and facilitator for fertilizer businesses in North America.
+ Interface with regional Business Management, Marketing, Sales, R&D, and other functions to provide effective, efficient, and timely Regulatory Affairs advice, guidance, support, and education.
+ Coordinate with global HERA Product Regulatory Managers for fertilizer products.
+ Initiate and maintain fertilizer registrations, and manage tonnage/millage reporting.
+ Participate in and represent the organization in industry and trade organizations.
+ Conduct regulatory compliance assessments for raw materials, finished products, and imports.
+ Classify products for HAZMAT/Dangerous Goods and maintain substance and material classification data in SAP.
+ Review and approve finished regulatory and technical documents, safety data sheets, and labeling.
+ Advise on new/revised product and import/export processes.
+ Maintain product regulatory data in the SAP substance database.
+ Collaborate with colleagues in other regions and participate in global regulatory teams.
Essential Skills
+ Several years of direct regulatory compliance experience involving federal, state, and regional regulations.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Chemistry, Biology, Crop Science, Environmental Management, or a related field.
+ Experience in interpreting and adhering to chemical, fertilizer, and environmental regulations.
+ Proven experience in product regulatory evaluations, regulatory reporting, and product registrations.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications, particularly Word and Excel.
+ Ability to work both as a team contributor and leader.
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to interface across multiple levels of an organization.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Advanced degree in Agronomy, Chemistry, Biology, Crop Science, Environmental Management, or related fields.
+ Experience in implementing and managing regulatory compliance programs.
+ Hands-on experience with fertilizing products state registrations, millage/tonnage reporting, and fertilizer labeling.
+ SAP Substance data management experience.
+ Experience in regulatory process design and improvement.
+ Experience with the production and use of fertilizers, adjuvants, and soil amendments.
Work Environment
The role is part of a global regulatory team requiring interaction with various functions across the organization. The position involves managing data and processes within SAP and requires proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr.
