Job Title: Welder
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Welder to work on steel and galvanized metal products using blueprints and fixtures. The role involves setting up and operating welding equipment safely and efficiently to manufacture high-quality parts and assemblies.
Responsibilities
+ Set up and operate welders to hand weld products safely, efficiently, and ergonomically.
+ Adjust welders as needed to maintain part quality.
+ Set up machines for materials welded, producing minimal smoke or splatter.
+ Consistently produce high-quality welds with good workmanship and minimal rejects.
+ Complete work to print requirements, reading and understanding prints and symbols.
+ Manufacture products to specifications without a fixture using weld table, prints, tape measure, protractor, clamps, etc.
+ Communicate production issues professionally, seeking clarification and resolution.
+ Perform tasks safely, including wearing safety glasses and gloves as per JHA requirements.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
+ Experience in MIG welding.
+ Proficient in welding galvanized steel, carbon steel, and stainless steel.
+ Ability to read a tape measure in fractions and decimals.
+ Ability to review and interpret symbols, part numbers, tolerance, and weld placements on blueprints.
+ Ability to work independently to complete work to print requirements.
+ Basic math skills to determine dimensions needed.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Skills in blueprint reading, grinding, assembly, fitting, sheet metal, mild steel, stick welding, structural steel, flux core welding, and flux core mig welding.

Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Charles, Missouri.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.84 - $24.45/hr.
