Job Description
Join our team as a Weekend Maintenance Mechanic, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our production equipment. We manufacture a variety of soaps, detergents, and health & beauty cosmetic products.
Responsibilities
+ Respond to maintenance requests and conduct routine maintenance to ensure production equipment reliably achieves production goals.
+ Conduct changeovers and equipment start-ups promptly to meet or exceed production standards.
+ Test equipment after repairs, changeovers, or extended downtime to ensure readiness without downtime at start-ups.
+ Minimize 'stop-gap' measures to keep lines and equipment operating efficiently.
+ Order parts as needed to minimize emergency maintenance situations.
+ Request work orders as necessary to ensure equipment uptime.
+ Measure downtime and debrief others to improve future outcomes.
+ Respond to internal customer requests with urgency, prioritizing production as the main internal customer.
+ Accomplish preventive maintenance (PM) tasks on schedule to prevent future downtime.
+ Follow through on PM tasks and line work findings to improve equipment reliability.
+ Contribute knowledge from PM tasks to the PM planning process for equipment efficiency.
+ Ensure changes in schedules, material availability, and line operations do not hinder PM completion.
+ Work on improving equipment design to maximize throughput and reduce non-value-added labor.
+ Administer the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for system reliability and accuracy.
+ Enter completed work orders into CMMS, sign parts out to work orders, and manage parts inventory.
+ Maintain safety, cleanliness, and upkeep of equipment and maintenance areas, adhering to lock-out tag-out (LOTO) and GMP rules.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in maintenance, repair, and working with conveyor systems.
+ Knowledge of CGMP, preventative and corrective maintenance.
+ Expertise in heavy equipment, mechanical maintenance, and blueprint reading.
+ Troubleshooting skills in electrical, schematic, mechanical, and hydraulics.

Work Environment
The work environment adheres to CGMP standards, requiring the use of PPE. The facility works with consumer products, which may produce strong fragrances and smells. The position follows a 3/12 schedule, working 36 hours and compensated for 40, with shifts from 6 AM to 6 PM on alternating days and nights.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70720.00 - $72800.00/yr.
