    The Electrical Engineer will provide electrical engineering services to the maintenance department to safely meet the business plan by providing support to production, maintenance, and engineering. In this role, you will serve as a critical team member in the efficiency, output, and quality of our processes and will be responsible for electrical systems safely integrated with manufacturing, along with upgrades of existing equipment.

    Responsibilities

    + Coordinate all phases of assigned area electrical engineering projects from concept, scope development, written specifications, bid solicitations, design, manufacturing, equipment commissioning, and project closure.

    + Lead and participate in problem-solving efforts with multi-discipline technical staff, maintenance, and production.

    + Use PI Vision and Data Link to analyze process issues and provide input to solve process problems.

    + Create and develop electrical control solutions that will support process improvements and improve equipment reliability.

    + Assist production and maintenance with equipment and process issues.

    + Redesign and upgrade PLC/HMI and controls of existing processes.

    + Install and troubleshoot camera systems on industrial equipment.

    + Incorporate SMART Manufacturing principles and tools into automated inspection systems to improve processes, data collection/analysis, and drive quick results in recovery improvements.

    + Mentor employees to increase their knowledge of equipment and processes when needed.

    + Manage projects ranging from $10,000 to millions of dollars, gaining capital expansion experience.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.

    + 3+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering.

    + Experience with PLC and HMI.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in electrical maintenance and automation.

    + Knowledge of controls engineering and electrical design.

    + Familiarity with Rockwell Automation.

    The role is based in one of the largest and most stable employers in the Quad Cities, at an aluminum rolling mill facility known for its mile-long expanse. Employees work in a collaborative team environment with other engineers and technicians.     Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $53.00/hr.
