    Job Title: Acute Care Nurse Practitioner – NeuroHospitalist (Inpatient, 7on/7off)

    **Location:** Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Temple, TX

    **Schedule:** Full-time, Inpatient, 7 Days On / 7 Days Off

    **Setting:** Single Site, In-Person Only

    Position Summary:

    Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Temple is seeking an **Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP)** to join our growing NeuroHospitalist team. This inpatient role offers a unique opportunity to work in a **collaborative, multidisciplinary environment** alongside NeuroICU, Neurosurgery, and Stroke teams. You’ll engage with supervising physicians, residents, and other advanced practice professionals as part of a team committed to excellence in neurological patient care.

     

    Ideal candidates will have a background in **Neuroscience ICU, Stroke, or Neurohospitalist care** , but we welcome **new graduate ACNPs** with a strong interest in neuroscience to apply. On-the-job training will be provided, including opportunities to learn procedures such as **lumbar puncture** .

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Provide acute inpatient care for patients with neurological conditions

    + Collaborate with supervising physicians and multidisciplinary teams

    + Participate in patient rounds, treatment planning, and discharge processes

    + Perform or learn procedures such as lumbar punctures

    + Engage in research opportunities, if desired

    + Support a 7on/7off rotation schedule

    Qualifications:

    Preferred:

    + Experience in Neuro ICU, stroke care, or inpatient neurology

    + Interest or experience in research and academic medicine

    QUALIFICATIONS

    + EDUCATION - Grad of an Accredited Program

    + EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience

    CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION

    + Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP)

    + Registered Nurse (RN)

    + Basic Life Support (BLS): Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire or transfer.
