    What is the job about?

     

    Peerless Pump Company, a Grundfos subsidiary, is seeking an Inside Sales Engineer-Packaged Systems to join our Packaged Engineering team. The role of the Inside Sales Engineer for Systems is to provide all technical and pricing support directly to stakeholders in our sales channel. This position will work closely with Sales, Reps, Distributors, Engineers, and End Users. They will provide full sales cycle support from preliminary budget product quotations through final contract negotiations to close the sale. This role reports to the Engineering Services Manager and will be a hybrid position working at the Houston, TX area site. Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support.

     

    **Your main responsibilities** :

    + Review product specifications to determine technical requirements, including but not limited to: equipment selection, sizing, costing, and customization of the Peerless product to meet the customer needs.

    + Provide preliminary pump selections, data, and drawings to customers and team members for timely support of customer specification needs.

    + Communicate with our direct suppliers regarding pricing, delivery, and technical information.

    + Provide documentation to customers pertaining to pricing, delivery schedule, preliminary design information, specifications, detailed listing of customer specifications reviewed at proposal phase.

    + Support continuous improvement, identify inefficiencies, and eliminate errors in the order winning process.

    + Proactively create customer tailored solutions in preparation for a clean design/manufacturing handover and efficient order execution.

    + Provide lead time guidance to all stakeholders aligned with the best available factory and supplier capacity.

    + Log all sales opportunity information and updates into the Peerless Customer Relationship Management system.

    + Perform work, promote teamwork, and communicate in conjunction with Grundfos Values and our internal standards (Safety, Quality, Schedule, Cost)

    + Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

     

    Your background

    We imagine that you have:

    Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor Degree (preferred) in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or Instrumentation preferred) engineering technology, or business with equivalent experience in technical sales and/or manufacturing along with and or 2-5 years of work experience preferred. Recent college graduate with an Engineering degree and relevant internships may be considered.

     

    • Previous experience in Engineering, Project Management, and/or Sales for OEM rotating equipment (preferred)

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills including written with attention to detail.

    • Advanced knowledge/skill with AutoCAD or other design software.

    • Working knowledge with Microsoft Office™ (Excel®, Word®, Power Point®, Projects®, Outlook etc.), SAP and CRM systems

    • Intermediate understanding of pumps, construction, hydraulics, and application of rotating equipment

    • Experience with Pump Configuration Software, Adobe Acrobat

    • Has high sense of urgency to meet or exceed customer expectations, and achieve daily commitments

    • Action oriented; proactively pursues challenges, motivated to produce high-quality results independently.

    • Knowledge seeking, improvement focused, positive outcome driven.
