Position is located at Central Louisiana State Hospital in Pineville, Louisiana in the Psychology Department.
Minimum Qualifications
A master's degree in psychology followed by two years of experience in psychological testing; psychological research; or the design and implementation of behavioral management plans; OR
Thirty semester hours of graduate-level training in psychology earned after completing a master's degree in psychology plus one year of experience in psychological testing; psychological research; or the design and implementation of behavioral management plans; OR
A doctorate degree in psychology.

Job Duties and Other Information

Conducts evaluations, including psychometric evaluations, annual progress assessments and determination of training or therapeutic needs.
Prepares behavioral or psychological case summaries.
Prepares reports for interdisciplinary team staffings and discusses reports as appropriate at staffings.
Participates as psychological representative in the development of individual client treatment plans and provides counseling or other psychological services as recommended by the interdisciplinary team.
Conducts and manages pre-planned and approved behavior management programs.
Conducts specialized training for paraprofessional and professional staff.
Provides direction and guidance to Associates to a Psychologist, other disciplines and paraprofessional personnel in psychological program implementation and environmental influences on quality of life for clients.
Participates in parent training as appropriate.
Conducts approved research projects.
Position-Specific Details:
As part of a Career Progression Group, vacancies may be filled from this recruitment as an Associate To A Psychologist 3 or 4, depending on the level of experience of the selected applicant.
Associate 3 to A Psychologist has a minimum hire rate of $22.52 / hour
Associate 4 to A Psychologist has a minimum hire rate of $24.10 / hour
Position may be filled as a Probation, Promotion, Demotion or Transfer.
