The pay range is $131,000.00 - $236,000.00
Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and in some instances may include education, work experience and certifications. A role within **Owned Brand Innovation & Circular Business Development** means helping Target Owned Brands innovate beyond the core businesses and create a more sustainable and regenerative future with our guests, partners and communities. You will be part of a team of hybrid thinkers, actively leveraging each other’s skills and knowledge, with a bias for learning and driving impact. From exploration to activation, you will accelerate and prove new concepts that differentiate the guest experience, advance our circular ambitions, and deliver innovation through our Owned Brand operating model. Whether exploring new opportunity areas,building new business models designed to meet guest needs, engaging startups to accelerate progress or commercializing solutions which drive growth, you will ensure success by rapidly applying your expertise and fostering an entrepreneurial culture while leveraging the benefit of a large organization’s knowledge and resources.
As Director, **Innovation & Circular Business Development,** you will set the vision for and lead a portfolio of prioritized circular concepts in development. Leveraging enterprise partnerships and industry knowledge and experience, you will guide cross functional teams in identifying the best ways to build, partner, test and scale to deliver on Owned Brand growth and Target Forward goals.
Responsibilities:
+ Provides bold vision, sound strategic judgment, day-to-day team leadership and development, structure, and prioritization to deliver a portfolio of projects which deliver circular business models and capabilities for Target.
+ Develops an exceptional external network that delivers industry intelligence, supports collaboration, and builds partnerships which accelerate progress.
+ Builds a strong and comprehensive internal network, partners with peers and senior leaders, develop and operationalize strategies across key stakeholder groups.
+ Holds teams accountable to clear and aggressive milestones and learning plans; drive teams to define and create prototypes of varying fidelity to support both research and live, in-market experiments; accountability for clear and concise deliverables.
+ Exceptional communication skills with ability to present in a variety of settings to teams and senior leadership.
+ Hire, train and retain a multi-disciplinary team with diverse backgrounds and experiences. Establish development plans and manage performance by providing clear expectations and timely, consistent feedback and coaching.

About you:
+ 10+ years working experience, with specific experiences in an experiment-driven/entrepreneurial environment helping launch new products, services, experiences or businesses
+ Demonstrated leadership skills and expertise guiding teams and supporting the development of individual team members
+ Extensive experience building, implementing and scaling circular business models or a comprehensive understanding of Circular Economy + experience building new capabilities and leading cross functional teams in undertaking significant business model transformation.
+ Proven ability to navigate and influence internal and external networks; experience developing and leading stakeholder relationships through establishing lasting and impactful partnerships
+ Data driven and focused on leveraging insight to drive decisions, can operate without 100% clarity choosing to opt for progress over perfection, accelerating as more clarity is achieved
+ Exceptional written and verbal communication, active listening, critical thinking, and presentation skills, with experience presenting to executive leadership and facilitating decision making
+ Respects, appreciates, and is curious about differences related to working with others; committed to developing an inclusive team.
+ Humility, resilience, learners’ mindset, thrives in creating structure from ambiguity
This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
