THE OPPORTUNITY
Responsible for managing the consumer compliance risk within the framework of the Bank’s Compliance Risk Management Policy Program (CMP). The individual Identifies key consumer compliance risk and works with the front line business units to ensure appropriate controls are in place to mitigate the risks. Additionally, this individual reviews and analyzes key elements of the CMP within their area of purview. Responsibilities of this position include supervising and managing the monitoring process according to internal procedures and schedules, as well as monitoring key activities, independent quality control reviews, and quality control oversight of business units in adherence to compliance standards. Performs all duties in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the Company operates.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
+ Responsible for consumer compliance risk governance, policies and standards for the lines of business assigned. This includes the following:
+ Attend and participate in management meetings;
+ Report/communicate LOB risks to their SVP Compliance Officer lead;
+ Responsible for ensuring all operating procedures for the businesses they support are in compliance with compliance standards and regulatory guidelines;
+ Ensure businesses are providing necessary training on compliance related policies and procedures
+ Assess compliance with policies, standards, and procedures.
+ Responsible for risk management over the functional business areas assigned. This includes the following:
+ Identify material consumer compliance risks associated with the business units activities, and in accordance with policies and procedures;
+ Establish an inventory of key risks and controls;
+ Assess material risk and threats on an ongoing basis by performing risk and control self-assessments (RCSA);
+ Quantify risk exposure through RCSA and report high risk exposures to their SVP Compliance Officer lead; and
+ Ensure appropriate risk aggregation, reporting, and identification and management of material threats associated with the lines of businesses activities.
+ Responsible for establishing and maintaining control testing across each of the lines of business assigned. This includes the following:
+ Monitor adherence to the risk governance framework;
+ Ensure ongoing testing of key consumer compliance risk controls;
+ Identify gaps or weaknesses through control testing;
+ Monitor the line of business progress on remediation of controls, reporting the status to their SVP Compliance Officer lead; and
+ Report RCSA results to their SVP Compliance Officer lead.
+ Responsible for consumer compliance risk issue escalation and management, including the following:
+ Ongoing identification and development of corrective action plans for remediation of issues; and
+ Communication on status of corrective action plans for tracking and reporting to senior management.
+ Responsible for monitoring for new legal and regulatory requirements applicable to the assigned lines of business. This includes:
+ Communicate changes across the lines of business, to which assigned;
+ Oversight of new legal or regulatory guidance implementation, where applicable;
+ Provide compliance support for regulatory examinations applicable to the LOBs assigned;
+ Ensure LOBs remediate regulatory issues associated with their activities; and
+ Collaborate with LOBs to document management responses to regulatory findings.
+ Stays abreast of regulatory and risk environment for the identification of emerging consumer compliance risks.
+ Actively strives to recruit, train and retain talent within the Compliance department.

+ Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
+ Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures.
+ Intermediate skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
+ Intermediate math skills; calculate interest and percentages; balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; compute rate, ratio and percent, including the drafting and interpretation of bar graphs.
+ Effective organizational and time management skills.
+ Exceptional oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
+ Ability to make decisions that have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and cross functional departments.
+ Ability to organize and prioritize work schedules on a short-term and long-term basis.
+ Ability to provide consultation and expert advice to management.
+ Ability to make informal and formal presentations, inside and outside the organization; speaking before assigned team or other groups as needed.
+ Ability to deal with complex difficult problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations.
+ • Ability to work with little to no supervision while performing duties.
+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in related field; or equivalent work experience.
+ Ten (10)+ years of relevant industry work experience.
+ Experience in the banking and/or financial services industry preferred.
+ Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) designation preferred.

SALARY RANGE
The full-time base salary range for this position is $101,000.00 - $125,000.00 a year. The base salary ultimately offered is determined through a review of education, industry experience, training, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant in alignment with market data and other factors.
