• Sr. SAP SD Consultant

    TEKsystems has a 4-6 month remote contract role for a Senior SAP SD Consultant. Our client needs a senior SAP SD/OTC consultant for an upcoming project where they are merging sales organizations. They are taking 4 sales orgs and merging them into 2. The assignment will be a 4- 6 month duration with the possibility to be extended into 2026 for follow-on projects.

     

    The consultant needs to be extremely knowledgeable in SAP SD, especially pricing and item categories. This role will need to create sales orgs and merge orgs, perform impact analysis and the configuration that's needed to do that merging. He/she will need to configure values for one sales org that another sales org is using. The right candidate must have enterprise structures experience, as well as extensive IDoc experience because of all the interfaces they have.

    Top Required Skills:

    1) Proficiency with enterprise structures within SAP SD (how the sales org interacts with pricing and item categories, etc.).

     

    2) Excellent knowledge of EDI Interfaces and IDOCs

    3) Excellent knowledge of Pricing and Item Categories in SD

    4) Outstanding documentation and communication skills. The consultant will be dealing directly with business users and gathering requirements approximately half the time.

     

    5) Consultant must be very self-sufficient and be able to work independently. Can't be timid, must be able to be persistent and follow-up with the business if not getting a response on requests and action items.

     

    6) Experience with S/4HANA version of SAP.

     

    Experience with Jira is also highly desirable.

    Other desired experience would include the following:

    - Customer Master: account groups, partner determination

     

    - Copy control

     

    - Material Master: service materials type, item category group

     

    - Purchase Requisitions

     

    - Purchase Orders

     

    - Info Records

    - GR/IR

    - AP

    Experience writing functional specs for integrations is highly desirable. This includes the ability to understand and articulate data mappings and requirements for any data transformations. Expertise with the Sales side of SD is preferred over the Distribution side - Billing, Pricing, Orders, Batch Processing, etc.

    The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $90.00/hr.
