    The Talent Strategic Initiatives (TSI) team is at the forefront of shaping LinkedIn’s future talent practices—reimagining how we hire, grow, and retain talent through human-centric, data-informed strategies. As the Senior Operations Manager, you will report to the Senior Director for TSI and be the operational engine behind this work, ensuring the team runs smoothly, scales effectively, and delivers on its ambitious goals. The TSI team is the connective tissue between strategy and execution for Talent priorities. The portfolio includes Talent tech strategy, Career Development & Mobility, Performance, Talent Architecture & skills strategy, Talent Analytics and Customer Zero.

     

    This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, brings structure to complexity, and enjoys building systems that empower others to do their best work.

    Key Responsibilities

    Portfolio Management

    + Establish and maintain centralized governance for all TSI initiatives.

    + Lead portfolio health checks, operational reviews, and milestone tracking.

    + Develop and manage dashboards and reporting mechanisms to monitor progress and surface risks.

    Team Capability & Cohesion

    + Drive team effectiveness through structured communications, meeting cadences, and offsite planning.

    + Ensure the team has access to the right tools, templates, and best practices to operate efficiently.

    + Partner with leadership to support capability building and knowledge sharing across the team.

    Budget & Resource Allocation

    + Manage headcount planning, budget tracking, and resource forecasting in partnership with Finance and HR. Support planning and execution for team hiring, onboarding and coverage planning for leaves as required to ensure a smooth transition and continuity of trusted delivery across TSI

    + Monitor spend against plan and support regular business reviews with data and insights.

    Strategic Project Execution

    + Lead and/or support high-priority, business-critical projects on behalf of the Senior Director.

    + Represent the TSI team in cross-functional meetings and ensure alignment with broader GTO priorities.

    + Translate strategic goals into actionable plans and drive execution across workstreams.

    Cross-GTO Collaboration & Executive Readiness

    + Serve as the connective tissue between TSI and other GTO teams, Chiefs of Staff, and Ops Managers.

    + Prepare executive-ready materials for ops reviews, leadership updates, and strategic planning sessions.

    + Support the rhythm of business (ROB) across GTO, including intake, prioritization, and governance.

    Basic Qualifications

    + 10+ years of experience in operations, program management, or business strategy roles.

    + Previous experience in managing complex, cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Experience in HR, Talent, or People Operations functions.

    + Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfort with tools like Smartsheet, Excel, Copilot and Analytics products.

    + Familiarity with Talent Management, HR Tech, organizational development and transformation.

    + Ability to influence without authority and drive clarity in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.

    LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.

     

    The pay range for this role is $134,000 to $218,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
