About Merchant Solutions, FI Channel & Small Business Strategy Fiserv is doubling-down its focus the small business segment, it is our right to win. We want you to be part of the team that captures the SMB market through our bank partnerships and streamlining a fragmented industry, client base with lots of choice, players and innovation, including 140+ fintechs serving SMBs today. SMBs are challenged with navigating an increasingly complicated ecosystem. Cash flow sits at the heart of everything a small business does every single day. We own the bank channel who support those SMB relationships, and they are losing share. We can enable both the banks and Fiserv to capture this market through an integration of our assets and enablement of an integrated, distribution channel for players in market. Role Overview Fiserv is seeking a dynamic and strategic Vice President to lead Small Business Sales for Fiserv and Clover. This unique role will cover the New York Metro Area to start, managing a high-performing team focused on accelerating growth across the small business segment. This high-impact leadership role carries responsibility for regional sales performance, team leadership, and strategic market development. In addition, this role is designed to evolve into a national leadership position focused on launching and scaling Fiserv’s new healthcare provider payments solution—a key initiative and new model as we expand into vertical-specific offerings for small businesses. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for small business, passion for driving product to market fit, an understanding of sales execution, and a vision for shaping future solutions. Sales & Vertical Leadership: • Lead and manage a regional sales team focused on driving small business acquisition and revenue growth through Clover and Fiserv offerings. • Execute against defined sales metrics and KPIs including client acquisition, activation rates, revenue targets, and financial institution (FI) partner / regional penetration goals. • Serve as the primary advocate for small business feedback, translating insights from customers into actionable product and go-to-market improvements – specifically with small healthcare providers. • Partner with Product, Marketing, and Strategy teams to inform the development and direction of the healthcare payments solution based on real-world small business needs. • Evangelize, promote, and support the national rollout of the healthcare solution by working crossfunctionally across the U.S., with a dedicated support team in place to assist execution. • Present and promote to Fiserv’s institutional clients across financial institutions (FI) and healthcare distribution partners • Position Fiserv and Clover as trusted partners for healthcare providers and small businesses by building industry relationships and participating in thought leadership efforts. This focus will include a number of sub verticals like dentists, ambulatory, etc. • Collaborate closely with senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders, serving as a key contributor to national vertical sales strategy. • Inspire, mentor, and lead a high-performing regional team, reinforcing a results-driven, customercentric culture. Basic Qualifications for Considerations: • Bachelor's degree • Minimum 5 years of strategy or financial analyst positions related experience in an investment banking or management consulting firm • Strategy experience with an emphasis on business growth strategy • Ability to travel up to 30% • Advanced degree a plus, but not necessary Job-Related Experience: • 5-10 years of leadership experience in B2B product / sales, preferably in fintech, SaaS, or payments, with a strong focus on small and medium businesses. • Proven track record of managing and scaling high-performing sales teams and exceeding growth targets. • Experience or deep interest in verticalized sales strategies, particularly in the healthcare sector, is highly desirable. • Strong ability to translate customer insights into product recommendations and strategic direction. • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills with executive-level presence. • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus. Additional Skills/Knowledge: • Proven ability to understand complex business concepts • Strong analytical skills and ability to build consensus • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities to interact at all levels of the clients from Clevel to technical and operation levels • Solid thought leadership and the ability to influence others through collaborative efforts • An ability to quickly establish credibility and rapport with a broad set of constituencies • Strong results orientation with demonstrated track record of success to effectively complete tactical activities • A high degree of adaptability and flexibility to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Preferred Skills, Experience, and Education: • Possess an entrepreneurial attitude • “Get it done” approach and attitude • Highly organized, detail oriented and analytical mindset • A true team player Location & Travel Required: • Role is based at 1 Broadway in New York City • 4 days / week in the office, with flexibility on Fridays on as needed basis • Approximately 10-15% travel throughout the year to various Fiserv offices or conferences

     

    Salary Range

     

    $99,200.00 - $211,100.00
