    Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a **Branch Manager** in our Salisbury location. This location sells waterworks products.

     

    This position leads local operations of this location which includes an inside sales team, counter, and warehouse.

    Position Details:

    + Reports to the Market Branch Manager

    + Direct oversight of 6 to 8 associates

    Responsibilities:

    + Manage day-to-day operations, including inventory, shipments, and customer service.

    + Supervise and train warehouse and customer service personnel.

    + Perform duties such as shipping, receiving, and customer service, especially in coverage situations.

    + Ensure adherence to safety standards, company policies, and legal requirements.

    + Oversee financial performance, budgeting, and capital planning for the branch.

    + Develop and cultivate relationships with customers, internal partners, and vendors.

    + Use data to make decisions and improve performance.

    + Conduct all aspects of employee management, including hiring and scheduling.

    + Cross-train associates and identify growth opportunities.

    + Develop a customer-first culture and train associates to provide excellent service.

    + Communicate initiatives and keep associates engaged and informed.

    + Understand local branch performance metrics and results.

    + Manage daily operations and ensure branch performance.

    + Lead the customer experience at the local branch, ensuring a positive and efficient service.

    + Ensure efficient phone coverage and responsiveness at the branch.

    + Oversee order accuracy, deliveries, and returns at the branch level.

    + Collaborate with senior management to drive local initiatives.

    + Navigate and collaborate in a matrixed organization by engagingwith local business points of contact (POCs).

    + General understanding of local market share, competitors, and sales targets.

    + Develop and maintain key relationships with strategic accounts.

    + Maintain relationships with local vendor reps, manage market pricing and procurement.

    + Understand local specifications and customer segmentation.

    + Provide leadership for the organization’s customer-facing associates and branch functions

    Qualifications:

    + 3+ years leadership/management experience is preferred

    + Prior Waterworks industry experience is strongly preferred

    + Ability to lead and empower individuals and teams

    + Ability to organize, prioritize, multi-task and effectively lead through stressful situations

    + Proven track record to use data and metrics to implement effective solutions

    + Demonstrated success in problem solving and delivering results

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills

    + Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.)
