Laboratory Aide

We are seeking a casual **_Laboratory Aide_** to assist in laboratory duties and techniques. The goal is to participate and learn the planning of experiments and evaluating/interpreting test results utilizing a basic knowledge of research laboratory procedures and practices.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
+ Follow established procedures or protocols and utilizes aseptic technique to perform laboratory tests and/or experiments which include iPSC cell culture, immunohistochemistry, immunocytochemistry, microscopy, and other basic molecular biology techniques.
+ Use various software applications, such as Excel spreadsheets, electronic mail, World Wide Web, statistical packages, and graphics packages to assemble, manipulate and/or format data and/or test reports.
+ Participate in the organization and operation of the laboratory.
+ Perform general lab maintenance duties.
+ Maintain excellent written records and electronic databases.
+ Prepare solutions, reagents, and stains following standard laboratory formulas and procedures.
+ Understand and follow standard operating procedures for environmental sample collection, transport, storage, processing, and analysis using laboratory techniques and instruments.
+ Perform miscellaneous related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
+ Currently pursuing High School diploma with some science coursework.
+ Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond HS Diploma/Graduation Equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Starting Salary Range: $15.00 - $20.25 HRLY ($15,600 targeted; Commensurate w/exp.)
