    Data Scientist

    Responsibilities and Duties:

    + Develops, implements, and maintains data interfaces, including query tools, data collection systems, data analytics, data modeling tools, and other strategies that optimize data usage, statistical efficiency, and quality.

     

    Investigates and contributes towards the development of innovative technologies to support all aspects of data digitization, process integration and data ingestion processes.

     

    Prepares and provides cross functional support for analyzing large data sets, identifying trends and implementing process improvements.

     

    Performs data analysis to support business needs and drive decision-making

     

    Develops and executes test plans to validate the functionality of automated solutions.

     

    Independently manages and resolves technical problems.

     

    Monitors and provides data system and application support and troubleshoots issues as they arise.

     

    Provides day-to-day digital and application support for automated systems and integrative digital processes in varying levels of complexity. Provides project support to colleagues and cross functional teams where necessary.

     

    Evaluates and optimizes processes for efficiency, practicality and reliability, with a focus on automation and associated software applications.

     

    Develops and maintains detailed documentation for automated processes.

     

    Communicates with management regarding all activities within their projects.

    Qualifications:

    Education and experience

    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Molecular Biology or related field. Master's degree preferred.

     

    Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 2+ years’)

     

    Proven ability in data engineering, data science, data analysis, or other data related fields.

     

    Experience data transcription - Google OCR

     

    Power apps- Microsoft platform

     

    Experience in analytical development- CMC

     

    Knowledge, skills and abilities

     

    Ability to effectively apply knowledge and skills in a highly organized fashion while adhering to regulatory guidelines, SOPs and client expectations

     

    Strong attention to detail with proficient organization and multi-tasking skills

     

    Excellent analytical /problem-solving skills /judgment in decision making

     

    Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality with clinical data and client's proprietary data

     

    Sound interpersonal skills with proven flexibility and adaptability to changing situations

     

    Strong oral and written communication skills (English)

     

    Strong computer skills, with strong knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to learn and use interactive computer systems

     

    Time management and project management skills

     

    Understanding of GMP rules, data integrity, and system validation.

     

    Willingness to perform other laboratory duties as assigned to ensure the smooth running of the laboratories.

     

    Basic entry knowledge and familiarization with regulatory filing documentation (source documents, reports, data) and BLA structure and section information for DS and DP.

     

    Technical Skills

     

    Proficiency with data extraction, analysis, reporting, and visualization tools.

     

    Deep understanding of system and data architecture, design, data warehousing, data modeling and integrations.

     

    Experience with data integration tools (e.g., Informatica, Databricks) and understanding of API management. Proficiency with databases (SQL), programming (Python, PySpark), and reporting packages (Business Objects, Power BI).

     

    Experience with ERP and CRM systems (SAP, Salesforce). Additional technical skills: Python, data warehousing (e.g., Databricks, Redshift), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Fabric). Knowledge in R is a plus.

     

    Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills

     

    Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

     

    Strong analytical skills to evaluate and optimize processes for efficiency and reliability, with a focus on automation and associated software applications.

     

    Project management expertise and problem-solving abilities.

     

    Ability to deal with ambiguity and challenging objectives in a fast-paced environment
