The opportunity

Delaware North's Patina Restaurant Group is hiring a full-time or part-time Pastry Cook to join our team at Hundredfold American Brasserie, opening soon in Belmont Park Village in Elmont, New York. As a Pastry Cook, you will prepare quality desserts and ice creams, ensuring all items are served in a timely manner to the highest freshness and quality.

Pay

$23.00 - $23.00 / hour

What will you do?

+ Prepare and produce a variety of baked goods and pastries.

+ Create and serve desserts, each accompanied by a unique type of ice cream.

+ Operate and maintain ice cream machines, ensuring high-quality ice cream production.

+ Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.

+ Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new dessert recipes and menu items.

More about you

+ Basic knowledge of ice cream making and proficiency in using an ice cream machine.

+ Experience in baking and pastry production.

+ Strong attention to detail and creativity in dessert presentation.

+ Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

+ Excellent time management and organizational skills.

+ Basic math skills to understand, calculate, and follow recipe measurements.

+ Ability to work as a team player, following procedures and taking directions.

+ Capacity to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical requirements

+ Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

+ Ability to remain standing for the entire length of shift while also walking, bending, reaching, and performing other repetitive motions
