Dispatcher Supervisor

Essential Job Summary:

The Dispatcher Supervisor will utilize our fleet management software and other operating applications to monitor volumes at each Transfer Station and progress of each Driver. The Lead Dispatcher will notify Drivers of their scheduled routes and make real-time routing change as needed. The Lead Dispatcher must keep an open line of communication with each Transfer Station Manager as well as the Rail Fleet Manager. The Lead Dispatcher is also responsible for promoting and monitoring employee safety and take proactive steps to identify, evaluate and remove safety hazards.

This is a new role, and the successful candidate must have experience managing both themselves and others. The Dispatcher Supervisor is a self-directed role and will be responsible for establishing and documenting procedures for live dispatching.

+ Establish and maintain a positive relationship with all Drivers as well as other colleagues as our depots and transfer stations.

+ Ensure Drivers and trucks are being utilized to their full potential.

+ Manage daily truck activity to ensure driver productivity is commensurate with hours worked.

+ Set up crew sheets and notify all employees of their schedules.

+ Continuously monitor hours worked and ensure DOT compliance for Drivers.

+ Continuously monitor Driver performance and provide coaching as well as discipline as necessary.

+ Ensure compliance with safety policies and protocols as well as federal, state and local regulations.

+ Perform routine inspections on the trucks and equipment to ensure proper care and routine maintenance.

+ Review Driver requests for container switches or repairs, and enter service tickets into the company database.

+ Ensure all accidents and injuries are thoroughly documented and distribute reports to the Safety and Risk teams for follow up.

+ Prepare and Deliver Regular Reports to Senior Management.

Requirements and Qualifications:

+ 5+ years of Dispatching experience.

+ 1+ years of _live dispatching_

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

+ Demonstrated ability to work independently.

+ Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety.

+ Knowledge of applicable traffic, transportation, and other laws and regulations.

+ Experience: 3+ years of experience with the Power BI service including workspaces, dashboards, reports, user access and query/modeling.

+ High level of competency in DAX expressions and Power Query

+ Should be familiar and experienced with the Microsoft SQL BI Stack

+ Installation and configuration of data gateways.

+ Should have knowledge and skills for secondary tools Azure Data lakes, Databricks, Synapse, ETL, API integrations and OLAP cubes.

+ Experience modeling data and building reports from multiple data sources.

+ Expert in creating data visualizations and advance calculations (Aggregate, Date, Logical, String, Table) using Power BI

+ Experience with multidimensional and Tabular data warehouse design, including a solid understanding of MDX/DAX, calculated measures, hierarchies, slowly changing dimensions, and data/time dimension analysis.

+ Expert creating various visualizations using Slicers, Maps, Lines, Pies, Histograms, Scatter, Bullets, Heat Maps, Tree maps, etc.

+ Experience in generating Drill through and Drill down reports with drop down menu option, sorting the data, and defining subtotals in Power BI.

+ Should have requirement gathering and documentation experience.

+ Effective written and verbal communication

+ Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.

Additional Information

**Base Pay Range** : The pay range for this position is$75kto $95k.

_IWS’s base pay actually offered takes into account a range of factors including, but not limited to, internal equity, the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, and other business and organizational needs._

**Bonus:** This roleis bonus eligible as part of the compensation package.
