    Position Summary: This role is responsible to lead and manage the organization's digital data assets through effective data governance, content management, architecture, and integration strategies. This also includes the evaluation and co-ordination of AI, as appropriate and beneficial across the organization.

    Position Responsibilities

    + Develop and manage a comprehensive data governance program to ensure the integrity, security, and compliance of data assets across the organization. Establish data stewardship, define policies and standards, and monitor data quality.

    + Oversee the design and implementation of a scalable, efficient, and secure end-to-end data architecture that sup-ports business needs, data integration, and analytics across multiple platforms.

    + Identify, classify, and maintain critical data assets within the organization. Ensure that data is properly cataloged, tracked, and accessible in compliance with governance standards.

    + Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive Content Management Program to address digital data storage standards and locations.

    + Implement and manage a data retention program, defining policies for data storage, retention, and secure disposal based on business needs, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.

    + Lead the evaluation, selection, and design of databases to optimize performance, scalability, and security. Ensure databases support efficient data storage, retrieval, and integration.

    + Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of the enterprise data warehouse, ensuring data is integrated, accessible, and aligned with business intelligence and reporting needs.

    + Develop and maintain a comprehensive enterprise data dictionary, ensuring consistency, clarity, and standardization of data definitions across systems and departments.

    + Lead the implementation of business intelligence (BI) and analytics solutions that enable data-driven decision-making. Collaborate with business stakeholders to develop actionable insights through dashboards and reports.

    + Explore and evaluate AI solutions to enhance data analysis, predictive capabilities, and automation of data-related processes.

    + Manage and oversee the design and development of data integration platforms, including ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes. Ensure data is accurately and efficiently integrated across systems.

    + Implement and oversee master data management practices, ensuring that the organization maintains a single, accurate, and trusted source of key business data.

    + Lead DevOps practices for data deliverables, ensuring continuous delivery of data solutions and the efficient operation of data pipelines.

    + Develop, enforce, and regularly update data management policies and procedures to align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements. Ensure policies are communicated and followed across the organization.

    + Oversee data access controls, ensuring appropriate user permissions and data security measures are in place to protect sensitive information.

    + Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and performance for third-party data solutions, ensuring they meet security, performance, and compliance standards.

    + Develop and manage the data management budget, ensuring that financial resources are allocated efficiently to sup-port data initiatives and technological investments.

    + Integrate data management strategies with business continuity and disaster recovery plans, ensuring that critical data can be recovered in the event of a disaster or disruption.

    Education

    + Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. (Required)

    Experience

    + 7+ years of experience in data technology, data architecture, or data management, with at least 3 years in a leader-ship role. (Required)

    + Deep experience with systems and data integrations, including the use of APIs. (Required)

    + Proven experience with business intelligence, analytics, and artificial intelligence solutions. (Required)

    + Experience with DevOps methodologies for data deliverables and data pipeline management. (Required)

    + Strong project management, leadership, and team collaboration skills, with experience cross-functional teams and managing cross-functional projects. (Required)

    + Information and cybersecurity knowledge and experience. (Required)

    + Experience with cloud data platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure. (Required)

     

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

     

    + Expertise in data governance, database design, enterprise data warehousing, and data integration. (Required)

    + Strong understanding of Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes and data integration platforms. (Required)

    + Familiarity with Master Data Management (MDM) practices and data retention policies. (Required)

    + Knowledge of data access control, security best practices, and regulatory compliance requirements. (Required)

    + Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to drive data-driven decision-making across the organization. (Required)

    + Ability to communicate and relate to the business in non-technical terms and to build productive relationships. (Required)

    + Familiarity with AI/ML technologies, data science, and advanced analytics tools. (Required)

    + Leadership, judgement, creativity, trouble shooting skills. (Required)

    + Active listener - always present and engaged. (Required)

    + Strong understanding of policies, processes, and procedures. (Required)

    + Problems faced are difficult to moderately complex. (Required)

    Certifications

     

    + Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP). (Preferred)

    + Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer. (Preferred)
